Sure, you can get fruits from any grocery store down the street. But don’t you think it’d be amazing to grab a fresh juicy strawberry or a handful of grapes from your own backyard? Strawberries

However, once the plant is thriving, it should live and produce fruits for years without requiring much effort from you. Just remember to cover the plants with adequate netting when the fruits arrive, or you’ll wake up one day to find all the blueberries stolen by the birds. 

Apples

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but finding an apple on a daily basis may not be convenient for everyone unless you have your own apple tree in the backyard. An apple tree is generally larger than a peach tree. However, there are various varieties – such as dwarf Family Apple – which can fit into smaller gardens as well. Apple trees are also amongst the most forgiving fruit trees when it comes to pruning, making it easier to learn this skill. 

And with plenty of apples growing in your garden, not only can you have your apple a day without any issue, but you can also experiment with a bunch of recipes such as applesauce, apple pie, apple cider, apple butter, apple chutney, etc.
