Simple, fast meals using smoked sausage recipes that the whole family will love

With hectic work schedules and busy lives, the family dinner is usually a welcomed break.  But who has time after a long day to spend a considerable amount of time preparing food?

Fortunately there are some easy meals using everyone’s favorite smoked sausage recipes so that you can skip over the unpleasant “slaving over the stove,” and right to an enjoyable meal with the whole family.

Smoked sausage makes a great addition to many different types of meals, and also adds a new variety–something different than just the ordinary meal.  The distinctive smoky flavor of sausage is a great complement to cheese, pasta and potato dishes.

Here are some great recipes to get you started:

Cajun sausage and rice

This is a quick and easy recipe which is good for the whole family.  It has minimal ingredients and is ready to eat in about 30 minutes.  It will serve up to six people, so everyone will have enough to enjoy.

Cheese sausage bake

This is another recipe with minimal ingredients.  It takes around 30-60 minutes to prepare and cook, and also serves six people.  This smoked sausage dish is a sort of cheesy, noodle casserole.

Cowboy style sausage

This “old west” influenced recipe takes less than a half an hour to prepare and make, and serves four people.  So if you have a larger family, make sure you double the recipe.

Sausage casserole

This big casserole (it serves about eight people), is definitely quick and easy to make.  It takes under a half an hour, and the majority of the time is spent cooking in the oven–which means less time you have to spend cooking.

Italian casserole

This recipe takes about 30 – 60 minutes to prepare and cook, and will feed a large family (about 8 people).  A great Italian recipe with mozzarella, spaghetti sauce, gnocchi, and of course, sausage.

Sausage and potato casserole

Although this meal takes a bit longer to prepare and cook (about one to two hours), it’s good to keep in mind that most of that time will be spent in the oven.  You can use this time to relax and focus on things other than cooking.

Italian seasoned sausage

This is definitely an easy recipe which can be made entirely in one pan.  It serves four people and has a great and fast clean up.  Its simple ingredients can be thrown in the pan all at once.  Enjoy!

Great tasting meals doesn’t necessarily have to mean spending hours on end preparing and cooking them.  These are some quick, tasty meals that can be enjoyed together.  Having a delicious meal doesn’t need to be hard.  So kick back, relax, and enjoy yourself while you relish in your simple, enticing dish featuring smoked sausage!
